Oil and Acrylic Painting

I like the loose brush strokes and light colored palettes of the French Impressionists. I’ve also been inspired by the illustrator N.C. Wyeth. I appreciate his color combinations, strong compositions, modeling of figures and dramatic narratives. I love oil painting and the human figure has always been the subject to which I gravitate. And when I paint the figure, I try to do it boldly. The following inspirational quote was painted on a wall I saw at a gallery.
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!  Goethe
